Services: Helps to pay utility and fuel bills starting the middle of October.  Program ends depending on demand and funding.  Call for information.
Eligibility: Ramsey and Washington County residents.  Must have an income of 125% of poverty level.
Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday and some Saturdays

Ramsey County Emergency Assistance

Services: Short-term, one-time help because of a utility shut-off.
Eligibility:  People living in Ramsey County who are in need and meet certain eligibility criteria.  Call for more information.
Hours: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday through Friday

Services: Help for seniors on fixed-incomes, people with disabilities and people who have an unexpected crisis with energy bills.
Eligibility:  Must have received a final shut-off notice, used or tried all other energy assistance funds, and have had a critical event (crisis or emergency) that prevented paying the bill.
Hours: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday

Services: Financial assistance for disabled veterans and dependents.  Veterans who are disabled and unable to work for at least 30 days, and their dependents are eligible if they meet income guidelines.
Eligibility: Veterans or their dependents in Minnesota.
Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday (closed from 12:15 – 1:00 pm daily)

Every Penny Counts Emergency Assistance

Services: Provides limited emergency financial assistance for rent, utilities, medical care and childcare.  Call and leave a detailed message with name and phone number to have an application mailed to you.
Eligibility:  Must be HIV-positive, live in Minnesota and meet income guidelines.  Call for details.
